Is your bookshelf looking a little white? Do you want a way to show people who come over that you’re not racist AND intellectual? Well look no further, here’s our list of the Top 5 books on anti-racism that look great but obviously you don’t need to bother actually reading.

№1 — Why I’m No Longer Talking To White People About Race — Reni Eddo-Lodge — Show’s that you don’t mind being called a ‘White Person’ even though that’s racist in itself, we’ll cry about that later.

№2 — Stamped From The Beginning — Ibram X. Kendi — This guy’s name sounds like Malcom X which is 100 points on the cool factor.

№3 — Girl, Woman, Other — Bernardine Evaristo — To show that you read literature from black authors, not just anti-racism books.

№4 — I know why the caged bird sings — Maya Angelou — This one makes you look like you read books from black authors before it became a ‘thing’. Make sure to tatter the cover and pages a bit so they look worn.

№5 — White Fragility — Why It’s So Hard For White People to Talk About RaceRobin D’Angelo — This shows that because you’ve ‘read’ this you don’t find it difficult to talk about race. But make sure if someone tries to bring race up you go really awkward or try to diminish their experiences.

So get hoarding! Another great tip just in case people don’t get to come over and see your ‘I’m not racist’ bookshelf is pop one of these in your bag and get it out at every opportunity! You can not be racist on the train, bus or at your all white office! Just make sure to never ACTUALLY read them.
